Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Music Is My Inspiration ContestWell guys I've decided to start my own contest, because I had awesome feedback on the idea ^_^

So I just watched the finale for Avatar.

Spoiler alert for anybody who cares.

I have to say, I loved it. Azula was the crazy biotch I knew she was, Fire Lord Ozai made a Harry Potter reference* (Which made me happy), Zuko found some hot lovin' (I actually like ZuMai guys. As well as Zutara, but I'm glad one of them happened.), Ty Lee became a Kyoshi Island Warrior, which I think is awesome, Zuko wore a dress (Ok, the Fire Lord outfit, but still, it looks like a dress!), and Kataang, which I don't care about.

The Giant Lion turtle was sweet as well. And Toph. Toph is just awesome.

Dissatisfied with: GAH! Zuko didn't find his mommy on screen! He asked about her to his pops, but nothing else! GRR. O well.
Number 2: What happened to crazy Azula? Did she die of insanity? Was she arrested? Nobody knows!

Otherwise is was great. The fight scenes were dramatic, and I loved the music. Just made it that much better.

All in all: Great end. I'm not a fan of endings either, but this made a fangirl's dream come true. I laughed, I cried (YES I CRIED. STFU.), And I noticed things that I think the writer's may have gotten the idea from Fanfiction. (Actually, quite a bit. XD) I highly recommend this series to anyone in for a good laugh and cry, if your an emotional idiot like me. (It's weird, I'm much more emotional whe it comes to fiction than real life, as in I'm more likely to cry while watching Uncle Iroh's funeral than my Grandma's... D: That's sad.)

4 out of 5 stars for the entire series.

*He was the Pheonix King, and he kept on saying stuff like "I'll destroy this world with fire and a new one will be reborn from the ashes" So lol.

The writers shipped a whole bunch of pairings, too! There was some ZuToph, SokToph, Zutara, Kataang, ZuMai, Sukka... Hell, you could interpret some ZuIroh if you're really weird!
