Tornado, among other things

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 18, 2010, 12:37 PM

So my birthday was exciting., Filled with unusual events and whatnot, so I'll go in chronological order.

Midnight: The police show up at my door. They're looking for my brother, so I go with the police man to see what's going on.
Apparently, while my brother and 3 of his friends were taking a walk, in my nice, suburban neighborhood, these two guys in a sebring were driving like 80 mph through the neighborhood- they went up the hill, around the culdesac (knocking down a few trashcans) and back down, so as they were driving back down my brother and one of his friends bent over to get a good look at their licence plate, and my brother muttered it so he could remember. The guys stopped their car, got out, went up to my brother's friend as my brother told the two girls to get behind him.
drunks: "Whaddya juss' say?!"
friend: "we were trying to decide if you had a sebring or a /other car model/"
drunks: "it's a fuckin' sebring! whaddya think?!" /gets all up in his grill
brother: "hey, dude, back OFF!" /pushes one of them
drunks: /gets all up on my brother's grill "WHAT?!"
brother: "back the hell off!"
and then one of the drunks punched him and they drove away, so my bro' called the police.
Then I slept a while.
Then I went to this thing my city does on thursdays downtown, where there's like a street market. It's cool. My brother took me, we had lunch, and then he went to work and so I stayed at B&N until my mom came to pick me up, and then we had coffee and then I went to dinner at like 8.
By ten, the storm had arrived- I was excited, because it was a BAD storm, and I LOOOOVE natural disasters. Love 'em. When we had finished dinner, my mom, brother, and I (my dad left early) had to run through downtown for like 10-15 mn to get to our car- and we were soaked to the BONE. We had dressed light, because it had been a hot day before it started raining. Anyways, it was fun as hell. There was so much lightning, it was amazingggg. I saw a gorgeous strike that was blue, white, gold, and purple. It was gorgeous.
We're safely at home at this point, and my family got  me a camera for my bday (:D), when we find out that just like, an hour before, a tornado had touched down only 2 streets away form my house. Today they closed off the road- I mean, WALLS and ROOFS, and entire GARAGES flew straight off these houses.
I also saw a tree that had been split clean in half because of lightning.

fucking awesome- plus, I dont even think anyone got hurt! yayyyy :D

It's GREAT (: It's even better that no one in the city got hurt- 3 people died in the state though :<

He is a good guy. A little bit of a douche bag, but he's a good guy.

Storms are just awesome like that. XD
I've actually had a tornado come through my neighborhood before. It destroyed every house around me (on both sides and in front and back), but it didn't touch my house at all. And then, somehow, in broad daylight when it didn't seem to be cloudy at all, I saw a flash of light outside my window and looked out just in time to see a giant maple tree fall over and smash part of my fence. It was pretty fun to watch.

Woah! Lucky for you! (not so much for your neighbors though! D:)
Dude... I wish I could have seen that. I was in a tornado when I went on vacation in Missouri several years back. I saw This lightning strike hit a tree, and it fell RIGHT on top of what looked like a brand new audi. It was kind of funny, but at the same time terrible xD

Sucks for whoever owned that car. XD
And yeah, poor neighbors. The most damage that was done to my house was a clock that fell off the wall.

The same thing happened when there was an earthquake. It seemed like everyone in my neighborhood but me had damage to deal with afterwards.
